The area

Just a few minutes walking from Carrizalillo beach and boulevard Benito Juarez, this neighborhood is located in the north part of the city and it is known to be one of the most quiet and nicest areas of Puerto Escondido. Situated on a hillside, it offers stunning views of the Pacific ocean, surrounding landscape and sunset views. Rinconada is known for its calm and serene atmosphere which makes it the perfect place for a relaxing stay.

The closest beaches in this area are Playa Carrizalillo, Playa Manzanillo, Playa Coral and Playa Bacocho. These beaches are more protected from big swells so this makes them the perfect place for swimming, snorkeling and taking surf lessons. In Boulevard Benito Juarez you will find convenience stores, cafes, shops and a great variety of restaurants with different food options.

The Houses

​La Barca Surf House is a complex building of 12 units with a beautiful common area featuring a pool. All of the units are unique and stylishly decorated with surf-inspired themes and equipped with all of the essential amenities such as Wi-Fi, towels and kitchen utilities. The combination of these elements creates a unique and welcoming atmosphere in each unit making your stay at La Barca even more special. The Family apartments located in La Barca are perfect for families or groups travelling together. These apartments typically feature separate bedrooms with comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchens and spacious living areas with private balconies.

The smaller apartments and studios are ideal for the solo traveler or a couple. These apartments are cozy and intimate providing comfortable and relaxing spaces for smaller groups or individuals. They are ideal for those who want to be close to the beach and surf spots but don´t need a lot of extra space. They all typically feature a bedroom with comfortable bed, bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette and a charm living space with private terrace.

Finally, La Barca also offers Small units without a kitchen perfect for the solo traveler, couples or budget-conscious guests. These units typically feature a bedroom with comfortable bed, private bathroom, basic kitchen utensils, small fridge and a nice private sitting area with a garden view. Guests can use the shared kitchen in the common area to prepare daily meals. This shared kitchen is a great place to meet other guests and share your travel adventures. Please keep in mind that the shared kitchen is also a first-come, first-served basis and guests are expected to clean up after themselves.

El Nopal Surf House  is a charming complex building of 14 apartments, perfectly designed for travelers looking for a relaxing gateway in Puerto Escondido. The complex offers a range of apartments to suit different needs and preferences, from cozy studios to spacious two-bedroom units. Each apartment is tastefully decorated and equipped with comfortable beds, private bathroom, fully equipped kitchens, cozy living areas and private terraces facing the lush garden and pool area.
